MOSCOW, November 16 (RIA Novosti) - The Yukos Directors' Board does not yet intend to advice its holders to declare bankruptcy, Steven Theede, company CEO, said to a televised news conference. The problem-obsessed petroleum mammoth is determined to work on. Its bosses said so to several recent holders' meetings, he emphatically added.

As Mr. Theede pointed out, Victor Khristenko, Industry and Energy Minister, referred to the Yukos a few days ago as Russian petroleum production leader.

Steven Theede thinks the company ought to stick to that. Its bosses are determined to keep at the helm even in a crisis, and will try to settle the matter with the federal government.

The Yukos has for today paid $3.9 billion out of its total 17 billion fiscal arrears, added Bruce Misamore, finance manager.
