Humane Society releases video of bear baying

The Humane Society of the United States says they will use new video evidence to pressure South Carolina officials to outlaw "bear baying."
The videos shows an adult black bear standing on all fours, her back to a four-foot (1 1/2-metre) high wooden fence.
Tethered to the ground by several feet of chain, the bear moves her head from side to side, noticing a crowd of a few dozen people that line the dirt pen around her. A split second later, the bear rises onto her hind legs as three dogs sprint toward her.
The unleashed dogs bark, show their teeth and swat at the bear, which lunges to the end of the chain then backs up against the wooden fence.
Moments later, handlers pull off the dogs. A new team of dogs - most of them Plott hounds weighing about 50 pounds (23 kilogrammes) - soon takes on the roughly 150-pound (68-kilogramme) bear. Dozens more will follow.
