September 29 morning preview
* Kyrgyz Prime Minister Felix Kulov will arrive in Moscow on a two-day routine visit. He is scheduled to meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko, Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu, Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, and LUKoil President Vagit Alekperov.
* UN Under Secretary General Kim Hak-Su will deliver a report on the topic, the Russian Federation and the development of an Asia-Pacific partnership, at the International University in Moscow (10:30 a.m.).
* German Ambassador to Russia Walter Jurgen Schmidt will hold a news conference on the post-election situation in Germany (12:00 p.m.).
* The Interfax news agency will host the following news conferences:
- with Georgian State Minister for Separatist Conflicts Georgy Khaindrava on the situation surrounding South Ossetia and Abkhazia, self-proclaimed republics in Georgia (10:30 a.m.);
- with British Ambassador to Russia Ton Brenton and head of the European Commission's office in Russia Mark Franco on the upcoming Russia-EU summit to be held in London October 4 (4:00 p.m.).
* RIA Novosti will host the following news conferences:
- on the presentation of the new Institute of Modern Economic Research (10:30 a.m.);
- with head of the Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sport Vyacheslav Fetisov on the Sports and Peace international conference opening in Moscow October 2 under the aegis of the UN (2:30 p.m.).
* Chairman of the Chechen Supreme Court Ziyadvi Zaurbekov and head of the judicial department of the Russian Supreme Court Abdrakhman Dzhabrailov will hold a news conference (1:00 p.m.).
* A roundtable on the topic, State debt management and cooperation between the state and the market, will be held (10:00 a.m.).
BAIKONUR
* Head of the Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov will meet with the 12th crew of the International Space Station who will begin their expedition October 1.
MAKHACHKALA
* The Daghestani Supreme Court will begin hearings on the case of Magomed Salikhov, accused of involvement in the bombing of a residential building in Caspiisk on September 4, 1999.
