* Vladimir Putin will hold a session of the presidential council for the implementation of national projects. The council is set to name six regions where high-tech medical centers will be open in 2006.

* Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will meet with Ukrainian Defense Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko.

* A session of the committee of security-council secretaries from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan) will be held at the President Hotel (12:00 p.m.).

* Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will preside at a regular session of the governmental commission for compatriots abroad.

* The first two-day annual conference, The Russian market of collective investments, will open (10:00 a.m.).

* A traditional international exhibition, Russia's Electricity Networks, will open at the All-Russia Exposition Center (VVTs, 12:00 p.m.).

* A conference on the topic, "Unified Energy System is an Open Company" will open (10:00 a.m.). It will focus on the recent changes in Russia's electricity monopoly.

* A news conference with Ren TV anchor Olga Romanova will be held (AIF-Novosti; 13:30 p.m.).

* The Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trade Marks will host a seminar on the fight against Internet piracy with representatives of the Russian Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office, and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations and Department of Justice (9:30 a.m.).

* A news conference on the Golden Ram national book awards will be held (5:00 p.m.).

* The seventh annual Product of the Year awards ceremony will take place.

* The Russian National Exhibition will open (November 29-December 2).

YEREVAN

* A conference, Armenia-Russia. An insight into the future. Cooperation technologies, will open.

RIGA

* The Council of Europe will hold a conference on the observation of the framework convention on the rights of national minorities in the Baltic States. Latvian Foreign Minister Artis Pabrisk and Lithuanian and Estonian officials and parliamentarians will attend.

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, GERMANY

* Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref will arrive in Germany to attend the "Day of the Russian Economy - 2005" forum and meet with local businessmen.

LAGOS

* The Lagos Federal Court will continue hearing the case of Russian sailors accused of crude oil smuggling.
