* Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the inauguration ceremony of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was reelected to his third seven-year term in December. Putin will also hold talks with Nazarbayev and Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

MOSCOW

* The spring session of the State Duma (parliament's lower chamber) will open (January 11 - July 16).

* The Moscow Basmanny Court is set to hear an appeal from attorneys of former Yukos security official Alexei Pichugin against investigators of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.

* The presentation of an ice replica of Big Ben on Pushkin Square will take place (11:00 a.m.). An ice replica of St. Basil's Cathedral will be presented on London's Trafalgar Square.

TOKYO

* Russian Transportation Minister Igor Levitin will attend an international transport security conference (January 11-13) and meet with Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kazuo Kitagawa and delegations of G8 countries.

TALLINN

* Colonel-General Gennady Loginov, the head of the Russian northwest regional border department, will arrive in Estonia on a three-day working visit to discuss border issues.

TBILISI

* The Tbilisi Court will read a verdict of Vladimir Arutyunyan accused of an assassination attempt on Georgian and U.S. Presidents Mikhail Saakashvili and George W. Bush on May 10, 2005.

BRUSSELS

* The European Commission is set to discuss Russian natural gas supplies to Ukraine.
