U.S. pop star Lady Gaga will perform her first ever concert in Russia in December, gig organizers said on Monday.

The December 9 gig in St. Petersburg is part of the singer's Born This Way Ball tour, which kicked off in South Korea in April.

She will be supported by the British band The Darkness.

Lady Gaga was due to play a gig at a musical awards ceremony in Moscow earlier this year, but it was canceled after the signer's agents said they could not secure the performance.
