MOSCOW, March 7 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater opened a Facebook account on Thursday to inform Internet users about its performances and actors.

“Here we are going to publish theater news, announcements, photo and video reports, interviews with artists, producers and cultural figures,” the theater said on its Facebook page, which is both in Russian and English.

The theater’s Facebook account currently has over 100 fans.

The Bolshoi Theater, which boasts one of the oldest and most renowned ballet and opera companies in the world, was opened in 1825.
