MOSCOW, January 11 (RIA Novosti) - The head of the Russian Federal Agency for Nuclear Power, Sergei Kiriyenko, will soon pay a visit to Ukraine, a source in the Russian government said Wednesday.
The source added that acting Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov would visit Moscow in the near future on a presidential invitation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that during a meeting held with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, Russian-Ukrainian cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy was discussed.
"This cooperation has strong potential since Russia and Ukraine have huge capabilities in science and production," Putin said.
Putin also said that he expected the acting Ukrainian prime minister, Yuriy Yekhanurov, in Moscow soon.
The Ukrainian parliament dismissed Yekhanurov's government Tuesday.
