MOSCOW, January 24 (RIA Novosti) - The Federal Property Management Agency is considering several options to privatize the country's leading truck manufacturer, KAMAZ, including an initial public offering of its shares, the agency head said Tuesday.
Valery Nazarov said the agency had not yet made a final decision. He added that Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport had expressed its desire to purchase a 34.01% government stake in the truck manufacturer and the agency was also discussing this option. The exporter is also said to hold a major stake in AvtoVAZ, the country's biggest carmaker.
A week ago, a Russian KAMAZ team won the Paris to Dakar rally, the latest victory in a long run of success in the event.
