MOSCOW, May 23 (RIA Novosti) - Rosneft's net profits for 2005 calculated to U.S. GAAP were $4.16 billion, up from $837 million in 2004, the state-owned oil company said Tuesday.

The company's earnings grew to $23.95 bln in 2005 from $5.28 bln in 2004.

"The company improved its key operational figures in 2005, including pre-tax profit margin and EBITDA, which rose to 294% from 28.8% in 2004," the statement said. "This allowed net debt-to-capital ratio to be reduced from 66% to 54%."

Rosneft posted its 2005 net debt at $11.03 bln, down 13% on the previous year.
