MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Monday its assets rose 28.6% in the first seven months of 2006 year-on-year to 7.4 trillion rubles (about $276.5 bln).
The volume of the CBR's loans and deposits as of August 1, 2006 stood at 18.7 billion rubles ($698.9 mln) rubles, while securities were at 255.7 bln rubles ($9.56 bln), including 249.7 bln rubles ($9.33 bln) in government paper.
Other assets stood at 97 bln rubles ($3.63 bln).
Funds on CBR accounts exceeded 4.5 trillion rubles ($168.2 bln), including 3.1 trln rubles ($115.9 bln) on Russian government accounts and 689.7 bln rubles ($25.8 bln) on accounts of resident credit organizations.
