Promsvyazbank places $325 mln Eurobonds

MOSCOW, October 17 (RIA Novosti) -- Promsvyazbank, a leading Russian commercial bank, said Tuesday it has completed the placement of Eurobonds worth a total of $325 million.

The bank said the issue consisted of two tranches, ordinary Eurobonds ($125 million) with a five-year maturity and a yield of 8.75% p.a., and subordinated Eurobonds ($200 million) with a May 2012 maturity and interest rate of 9.625% p.a.

The Eurobonds will be listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The issue was organized by Citigroup.

Promsvyazbank, which is on the Central Bank of Russia's list of top 30 banks in terms of assets, said its shareholder equity has grown 43.9% since the beginning of the year, to 15.2 billion rubles (about $563 million).

A controlling stake in Promsvyazbank belongs to the Ananyev brothers, who also have holdings in such areas as information technology, the media, insurance, the industrial sector and real estate.
