Russian govt. to lower oil export duty to $180.7/ton from Dec. 1

MOSCOW, November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Export duty on crude oil will be lowered from $237.6 to $180.7 per metric ton starting from December 1, 2006, the Russian government's press service said Friday.

The government sets the oil export duty rate once every two months, after monitoring the Urals price on world markets.

The government also fixed export duties on light and dark oil products at $134 and $72.2 per metric ton as of December 1, down from $172.4 and $92.9, respectively.
