Gazprombank RAS net profit rises 6.3%, y-o-y, in 10M06

MOSCOW, November 27 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprombank, a subsidiary of Russian energy giant Gazprom [RTS: GAZP], said Monday its net profit, calculated to Russian Accounting Standards, (RAS) rose 6.3%, year-on-year, in the first ten months of 2006, to 11.8 billion rubles (about $442 million).

Gazprombank, Russia's third-largest bank in terms of assets, said its pre-tax profit grew 12% in the reporting period, to 16.4 billion rubles (about $614 million).

Gazprombank said its assets grew 42% in the reporting period, to 616.3 billion rubles ($23 billion), and that its shareholder equity rose 32%, to 57.9 billion rubles (about $2.2 billion) as of November 1, 2006.

Loans to customers grew 38%, to 396.4 billion rubles (about $15 billion). The value of corporate deposits went up 25%, to 256.3 billion rubles (about $9.6 billion), and the value of individual deposit accounts grew 15%, to 50.3 billion rubles ($1.9 billion).
