MOSCOW, February 8 (RIA Novosti) - The ruble's real effective rate rose an estimated 1.5% in January on December 2006, the Russian Central Bank said Thursday.
The ruble's real effective rate is calculated against the dollar/euro currency basket.
The Russian currency's real rate gained 0.9% against the dollar and 2.2% against the euro in January, month-on-month, and gained 14.2% and 5.5% respectively, year-on-year.
