Russian monetary base up $1.8 bln in week to $131 bln

MOSCOW, June 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Friday the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 3 trillion 398,7 million rubles ($131 billion at the current exchange rate) as of June 18, up 45.6 billion rubles ($1.8 billion) in the week since June 9.

According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
