Russian monetary base up $1.2 bln in week to $132.8 bln

MOSCOW, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Friday the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 3 trillion 429.9 million rubles ($132.8 billion at the current exchange rate) as of June 25, up 31.2 billion rubles ($1.2 billion) in the week since June 18.

According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
