VLADIVOSTOK, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's largest shipbuilder, will build six tankers for the Primorsk Shipping Company in 2008-2009, the Russian Far East-based company said Monday.
Construction of the first vessel, with deadweight of 104,000 metric tons, has begun in South Korea, the Primorsk Shipping Company's press service said.
The company's fleet currently totals 22 tankers, with total carrying capacity of 1.025 million tons. By 2010, the company plans to raise the figure to at least 2 million tons.
