MOSCOW, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Fitch has assigned a BBB- rating to Russian energy giant Gazprom's upcoming $30 bln Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) program, the international rating agency said on Tuesday.
Gazprom increased the size of its EMTN program from $15 billion to $30 billion. Under the program, the state-controlled natural gas monopoly makes payments on its loans. Payments on Gazprom bonds through the program are linked to the company's senior non-secured debt.
