MOSCOW, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's second-largest mobile phone operator VimpelCom [RTS: VIMP] said on Wednesday that its US GAAP net profit had increased 80.2%, year-on-year, in 2007, to $1.463 billion.
VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline trademark, said its revenues had increased 47.3% in the reporting period to $7.162 billion.
VimpelCom includes cellular phone companies that operate in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia.
