Irkut aircraft maker posts 250% rise in RAS net profit in 2007

MOSCOW, March 13 (RIA Novosti) - Irkut Corporation [RTS: IRKT] said on Thursday its net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) increased 254% year-on-year in 2007 to 3.9 billion rubles ($162.5 million).
"The portfolio of orders in 2007 totaled $4.6 billion, with 2007 revenues equaling 30.9 billion rubles ($1.3 billion) and pre-tax profit at 5.2 billion rubles ($217 million)," Irkut CEO Oleg Demchenko said, adding that the past year was the most productive in the company's history, with sales exceeding $1 billion.
Irkut, one of Russia's largest aerospace holding companies, designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of high-tech products, including the Su-30MK multirole combat aircraft and the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious jet.
