MOSCOW, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russian wholesale power generating company OGK-6 said on Thursday its net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards increased 50.9% year on year in 2007 to 1.873 billion rubles ($78 million).
The power generator, which combines six hydropower plants with total installed capacity of 9,052 MW, attributed its net profit growth to the company's successful operations in the power sector and increased power generation.
Asset value grew 58.75% in the reporting period to 43.776 billion rubles ($1.8 billion), OGK-6 said.
