Russia's CenterTelecom posts $151 mln net profit in 2007

MOSCOW, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russian fixed-line operator CenterTelecom [RTS: ESMO] said on Thursday its net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards grew 77.5% year-on-year in 2007 to 3.635 billion ($151 million).
The company, which provides services in central Russia covering more than 20% of Russia's population, said its revenue increased 14% year-on-year in 2007 to 32.4 bln rubles ($1.35 bln) and that earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization climbed 19.4% to 11.7 billion rubles ($488 million).
CenterTelecom, which is part of Svyazinvest state telecoms holding, has charter capital of 6.31 bln rubles ($263 mln). The company's shares are listed on Russia's RTS and MICEX bourses, and its Level-1 American Depositary Receipts circulate on the U.S. over-the-counter market and the Berlin and Frankfurt stock exchanges.
