Transaero eyes listing on MICEX exchange
"We will apply for a listing on MICEX," Alexander Pleshakov said, without giving any figures on the size of the flotation.
He said the airline could hold an IPO later this year, but that a final decision will depend on the market situation.
Olga Pleshakova, the airline's general director, said earlier that 10-17% of shares could be floated on the exchange in 2008.
Transaero began flights in 1991. Foreign destinations account for over 85% of its passenger carriage.
The airline handles over 70 destinations in Russia and abroad. Transaero is also Russia's sole air carrier to fly to six continents - Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Australia.
