MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian crude oil exports fell by 4.2% in the first four months of 2008, year-on-year, to 81.4 million metric tons, the Federal Statistics Agency said on Friday.
Oil production in the reporting period fell 0.3%, to 160.7 million tons, while refining and sales on the domestic market rose 4.5%, to 77.6 million tons.
The share of oil exports in the first four months of this year out of all of Russia's exports stood at 35.5%, compared with 33.3% last year.
In April, oil production in Russia fell 0.7%, year-on-year, to 39.7 million tons, domestic sales rose 0.2%, to 18.1 million tons, while exports fell 7.3%, to 20.3 million tons.
The average export price increased 14.5% in April to $697.5 per ton since the start of the year.
