MOSCOW, July 4 (RIA Novosti) - Net capital inflow into Russia stood at $12.3 billion in the first half of 2008, against $68.7 billion in the same period last year, the Central Bank said in a report Friday.
Net capital outflow from Russia was $23.4 billion in January-March 2008, while capital inflow amounted to $35.7 billion in April-June 2008.
Central Bank first deputy chairman Alexei Ulyukayev has predicted that net capital inflow could reach $30 billion in the second half of the year, with a moderate monthly capital inflow rate of about $5 billion.
The government said earlier annual net capital inflow into Russia may reach $95-105 billion by 2011.
The highest net capital inflow to date was recorded in 2007, when it exceeded $80 billion.
