U.S. to take active part in St. Petersburg economic forum in June

ST. PETERSBURG, April 17 (RIA Novosti) - The U.S. will take an active part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to be held in Russia's second largest city on June 4-6, the U.S. ambassador to Russia said on Monday.
John Beyrle, who met on Monday with St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matviyenko, said he wanted to bring to the Russian forum not only a governmental delegation, but also U.S. investors.
Last year the forum produced $14.6 billion in deals. In 2007, deals worth $13.5 billion were signed at the forum.
