KRASNOGORSK (Moscow Region), May 26 (RIA Novosti) - Thai businessmen are planning to build a livestock farm in the Moscow Region by 2012, a senior regional official said on Tuesday.
“The first stage of the project has been completed. Now that a fodder plant has been built, a livestock farm will be constructed. This will bring $200 million in investment to the Moscow Region’s economy,” said Igor Parkhomenko, a first deputy prime minister of the regional government.
He said the livestock farm would operate using the latest technology.
The project will be implemented by Charoen Pokpand Foods, Thailand's largest agribusiness firm with operations in 14 countries.
