MOSCOW, June 3 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will meet with the heads of 20 of the world's top energy companies at a business forum in St. Petersburg on June 5, a presidential economic aide said on Wednesday.
The June 4-6 international economic forum will be devoted to urgent global development issues. It will be divided into two parts, covering economic and financial areas, and involve more than 2,000 participants.
"Virtually all of more than 20 companies will be represented by their heads. The meeting could discuss both oil and gas markets and the implementation of separate projects, including joint undertakings, and our proposals in the sphere of energy cooperation," Arkady Dvorkovich said.
Dvorkovich said that the forum's program had been extended to include several more roundtables, including discussions on innovation.
Several roundtables will be devoted to Russia's cooperation with the United States, European Union and Arab countries, Dvorkovich said.
