MOSCOW, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Net capital inflow into Russia was $7.2 billion in the second quarter while net outflow in the first six months of the year was $27.6 billion, the Central Bank said on Monday.
This is the first time a net capital inflow has been recorded since the second quarter of 2008.
Net capital outflow in the first quarter of the current year was $34.8 billion.
The non-financial sector made the principal contribution to the surplus with a $14.2 billion influx during the reporting period, compared with $28 billion net outflow in the first quarter.
