MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's oil exports increased slightly 0.2%, year-on-year, to 122.9 million metric tons (1.04 billion barrels) in January-June 2009, the country's statistics service said on Tuesday.
Crude accounted for 32.7% of all Russian exports and 49.9% of the country's total energy exports in the reporting period, against figures for the same period in 2008 of 36.5% and 52.2%, respectively, Rosstat said.
The total value of Russia's crude exports in the first half of the year fell by 51.6% to $35.53 billion, year-on-year.
Oil output increased slightly in Russia by 0.1% to 242.2 million metric tons (2.05 billion barrels).
According to Russia's statistics service, Russia's oil production in January-June stood at 9.51 million barrels per day, while the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) produced 28,441 billion barrels per day.
The average price of oil exports also increased, up 16.5% to $417.8 per ton against the March level while the price of benchmark Urals blend rose by 20% to $498.7 per ton on the global market.
The Federal Customs Service earlier reported that Russia's oil exports to non-CIS states in January-June remained unchanged at around 104.15 million metric tons (880 billion bbl), compared to the same period in 2008. Income from exports also declined by 52.4%, year-on-year, to $35.34 billion.
Russia's Economic Development Ministry earlier forecast no real changes in oil production levels and exports during the next three years.
