Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region to tout investment potential to envoys

Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region will hold a presentation of its investment potential for the heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Moscow on Wednesday, a local administration spokesman said

ULYANOVSK, October 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region will hold a presentation of its investment potential for the heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Moscow on Wednesday, a local administration spokesman said on Tuesday.

“The presentation will be held with a view to boosting the region’s international contacts, promoting products and technology to the foreign market and attracting foreign investors,” the spokesman said.

The region, located in the Volga Federal District, will promote its biggest companies, the largest investment projects involving foreign capital, and the development of Ulyanovsk as Russia’s aircraft building hub.

At the event, the local authorities are expected to sign a contract with Danish Skamol A.S. and the Diatomite-Invest company, which is developing a project to produce high-temperature diatomite bricks in the region.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and more than a hundred diplomats will attend.
