Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz will pay some $500 million for natural gas from Russian energy giant Gazprom for October, the ex-Soviet state's acting finance minister said on Wednesday.
The official dollar rate set by the Russian Central Bank for October 29 is 29.1749 rubles, up 15.65 kopeks from Wednesday, the Central Bank said.
Turkey is switching to national currencies in trade with Iran and China, ending dependence on the U.S. dollar and the euro for about 20% of its commodity turnover, local media reported on Wednesday.
