Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves decreased $3.3 billion to $440 billion in week to December 18, the Central Bank of Russia said on Thursday.
The bank earlier said the reserves had grown 4.8% since the start of the year.
Russia's official holdings of international reserves comprise gold, foreign currency assets, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), Russia's Reserve Tranche Position (RTP) at the IMF, and other assets.
