Russia may revise its ban on grain exports after October 1, when the size of the harvest volumes becomes clearer, the government said on Tuesday after informing Egypt, Turkey and Israel.

"Harvesting is continuing now. We are conducting an online monitoring and analyzing how grain, forage and seeds reserves are forming on the domestic market. The work will be completed after October 1. Then we can make a decision about the possibility of resuming exports," the government quoted First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov as saying in telephone conversations with Egypt's Trade and Industyr Minister Rashid Mohamed Rashid, Turkey's Agriculture Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker and Israel's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

Rashid told Zubkov that Egypt, the largest wheat importer in the world, was ready to postpone restructuring of grain supply contracts until October, the Egyptian Trade and Industry Ministry said.

Egypt has proposed that Russian companies restructure contracts signed before Moscow suspended grain exports. It also offered to set up a joint commission to find ways of fulfilling the contracts.
