The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has found no violations took place during the annual shareholders' meeting in June of the country's largest nickel producer Norilsk Nickel

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has found no violations took place during the annual shareholders' meeting in June of the country's largest nickel producer Norilsk Nickel, the company said on Friday.

"According to the company's lawyers, the (Prosecutor General's Office) letter addressed to the general director does not contain any points of criticism regarding the procedures at this year's general meeting," Norilsk Nickel said in a statement.

President Dmitry Medvedev has been informed of the results of the inquiry, Norilsk Nickel said.

Russia's aluminium giant RusAl and Interros, billionaire Vladimir Potanin's investment arm have been locked in a shareholder row after RusAl lost one seat on Norilsk's board at the AGM, while Interros increased its management representation.

RusAl, controlled by billionaire Oleg Deripaska, has accused Interros of ruining agreed board representation parity, and the board of directors of vote fraud.

In August, Medvedev ordered the Prosecutor General's Office to resolve the dispute.
