California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will lead a delegation of U.S. venture capitalists from Silicon Valley to Russia on October 10, Russia's hi-tech government corporation Rosnano said.
The delegates will visit the Skolkovo research hub and take part in the Global Innovation Partnership forum. They will also meet with the Russian leadership and businessmen from Moscow and Kazan.
Craig Barrett, co-chairman of Skolkovo's board of directors, Jeffrey Henley, chairman of Oracle's board, and Dan'l Lewin, Microsoft's vice president for strategic and emerging business development are among the delegates.
This will be the second delegation of U.S. venture capitalists to Russia this year, following one in May.
President Dmitry Medvedev, who has made developing the high-tech sector and encouraging innovative research the focal point of his economic agenda, met with Schwarzenegger when he paid a visit to Silicon Valley over the summer.

Putting venture capital into Skolkovo research hub as part of the Global Innovation Partnership forum will help to get Russian Silicon Valley up and running.
Craig Barrett, co-chairman of Skolkovo's board of directors, Jeffrey Henley, chairman of Oracle's board, and Dan'l Lewin, Microsoft's vice president for strategic and emerging business development should really enjoy their time in Russia.
I truly admire California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's initiative to lead a delegation of U.S. venture capitalists from Silicon Valley to Russia on October 10.
May this visit to the Skolkovo research hub result in many funding opportunities for the US companies.
My own project below initiated by the Russian arts will create 22,000 jobs in Canada, 66,000 in Russia, 220,000 in the United States and 4 million around the world. The result is trillions of dollars being pumped into technology companies in Silicon Valley California which can then be pumped back into Russian software and hardware development initiatives.
We are a global economy and when everyone participates in their own small way, every country benefits with increased employment, increased international trade, positive international relations, and the creation of new and better computer hardware, software and products.

Oda for for approval and funding of a $100 million project that will process 5 million pieces of student artwork from Russia for a series of "Russian Kids Art Album eBooks" creating 1,025 jobs in Ottawa / Gatineau Canada. The goal to promote better understanding of modern Russia, its people, culture, traditions and modern lifestyle. If successful the project will involve Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian International Development Agency, eventually gaining support from President Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
