The board of Russia's largest gold mining company Polyus Gold has appointed its Chairman Mikhail Prokhorov as company CEO, Polyus Gold said on Thursday following a board meeting.
Yekaterina Salnikova, deputy financial director of Onexim Group, the private equity fund owned by billionaire Prokhorov, was elected as the new chairman of the Polyus Gold board, the statement said.
The former Polyus Gold chairman Yevgeny Ivanov will deal with top priority international projects of Polyus Group as the chairman and CEO of KazakhGold Group Limited, the company said.
