President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the government to organize a natural gas exchange in Russia, the world's leading gas supplier, before June 1, the Kremlin said on Monday.
Russia's gas giant Gazprom and independent gas producers traded the blue fuel on the floor of Mezhregiongaz, a Gazprom company, between 2006 and 2008 as a test. Last year Gazprom Mezhregiongaz carried out complex tests to trade one to 18 month futures.
