Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft signed on Tuesday a contract with Indonesian PT Sky Aviation for the delivery of 12 Superjet 100 passenger aircraft, a deal worth $379.2 million.

The contract, signed at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, stipulates the delivery of the aircraft in 2011-2015.

The Superjet 100 is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by Sukhoi in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.

The aircraft is capable of carrying 75-98 passengers at a distance of up to 4,400 kilometers.

The aircraft will replace the outdated Tu-134 planes. EASA certification is expected this year.

The first commercially-produced Superjet 100 was handed over to the Armenian airline Armavia on April 19. The plane has already made over 100 flights, carrying more than 3,000 passengers and traveling a distance of about 100,000 kilometers (62,137 miles).

The second plane was delivered to Aeroflot on June 9.

Aeroflot has ordered 30 Superjet 100 aircraft and is planning to order 10 more. Initially the planes will be used to carry out domestic flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa and Samara, but they will later also be used for international flights.
