Transaero, one of Russia's largest airlines, has signed a deal with U.S. Boeing to buy four Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental airliners for $1.3 billion at catalog prices, Transaero General Director Olga Pleshakova said on Tuesday.

The catalog price for each Boeing 747-8, which will be delivered in a high seat configuration, is $330 million, Pleshakova told RIA Novosti.

The deal would make Transaero the first airline in Russia, the CIS and East European countries to operate the long-haul wide-body Boeing-747-8.
