France's car maker Renault plans to start production of its new Logan model in Russia next year, the firm's executive vice president for sales and marketing Jerome Stoll said on Tuesday.
"The new Logan model may be available for sale at the end of 2012 or at the beginning of 2013. We do not export cars to Russia but we make them there. We need some time to launch production [in Russia] in 2013," Stoll told reporters at the Geneva Auto Show.
The company has not yet chosen a plant in Russia to produce new the Logans, which could be in Togliatti or in Moscow, he said.
The French car manufacturer also plans to increase production at its plant in Moscow by 10 percent this year, he added.
