The world's largest e-auction site, eBay, has stopped listing goods and services related to magic, spells, and the occult, and the section of its site related to such objects will be removed, the auction site said in a statement on Friday.

It has also banned a range of other goods, in particular those connected with the organization of businesses from home.

EBay said the sale of goods in the banned categories often led to arguments between sellers and buyers which were difficult to resolve. Sellers of the goods concerned have until September to sell them or take them off the site.

If sellers persist in trying to sell such goods, their accounts will be frozen.

EBay was set up in 1995 and is one of the largest internet companies in the U.S.
