Russian Railways Privatization Plan 'Unrealistic'

The projected privatization of 25 percent minus one share in Russian state railways operator RZD before the end of this year is technically "unrealistic," Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said on Tuesday.
"In technical terms, it is unrealistic," Sokolov told reporters at a transport exhibition in Berlin.
The Russian government, which currently remains the sole owner of RZD, announced in July plans to sell 25 percent minus one share in the company.
