The fifth Russian-Chinese forum dedicated to training staff for the travel industry is opening in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok on Tuesday, the administration of the Primorye Territory reported.

“Representatives of the Russian Culture Ministry’s Federal Tourism Agency, China’s National Tourism Administration and both countries’ largest universities training personnel for the tourism industry have arrived in Vladivostok to attend the forum,” the administration said.

A number of presentations showing the potential of bilateral tourism cooperation will be held as part of the forum.

In June it was reported that China's Dalian Wanda Group Corporation will invest up to $3 billion to develop Russia's North Caucasus resorts.

The Russian government launched the project to create an up-to-date tourism cluster in the North Caucasus region in 2010. The deal stipulates the construction of five new world-class resorts comparable to the world's most popular sport resorts in 2011-2020.
