A Ukrainian cosmonaut may be sent to the International Space Station (ISS) where he will work with his Russian colleagues, Ukraine’s National Space Agency has reported.
The agreement was reached at the 8th session of the subcommittee on cooperation in the space industry of the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission in Yevpatoria, Crimea, last week.
“We have been tasked to train the Ukrainian cosmonaut for the space flight on a Russian spacecraft and his participation in long-term work on the Russian segment of the ISS,” the agency said.
