Woman injured in northwest Moscow shooting

A 20-year-old woman was shot and injured during an apparent argument with a male acquaintance in northwest Moscow, a police official said on Tuesday.

MOSCOW, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - A 20-year-old woman was shot and injured during an apparent argument with a male acquaintance in northwest Moscow, a police official said on Tuesday.

"The woman was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the arm," the official told RIA Novosti. "Several police units have arrived at the scene."

Police found a sawn-off shotgun at crime scene in the Yuzhnoye Tushino district. The search for the attacker is ongoing.

The last fatal shooting in the capital was on April 27, when off-duty police officer Denis Yevsyukov killed three and wounded six in a south Moscow supermarket.
