Seven killed in Volga area car crash

Seven people were killed and one injured on Friday in a car crash on the border between the Samara and Saratov regions in the Volga area, a local medic said.

SAMARA, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people were killed and one injured on Friday in a car crash on the border between the Samara and Saratov regions in the Volga area, a local medic said.

"A Ford and a Honda, carrying a total of eight people, crashed, and seven people died immediately" the medic said.

The only survivor has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The cause and circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
