MOSCOW, May 26 (RIA Novosti)
A gunman has killed one woman and injured other eight in a shooting rampage in Finland, the Finnish news portal hbl.fi reported on Saturday referring to police.
The shootings occurred in the early hours in the center of Hyvinkaa, some 50 kilometers (30 miles) north of the capital, Helsinki. Police said a man was seen wearing camouflage-colored leather while firing about 20 times with a rifle near restaurants and markets.
Eyewitnesses in Hyvinkaa said they saw a woman with her face covered in blood and heard her scream before she dropped to the ground.
Detective Superintendent Satu Koivisto told the Associated Press the gunman had fled the scene and police were still looking for him.

News that Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin would resign in order to run for the mayoral election in September came as quite a shock. Sobyanin’s political potential is fairly dubious, not to mention his approval ratings. He has not finished many of the projects he initiated and the electoral effect from these projects is expected to come a bit later than September 2013. Sobyanin’s opponents were not entirely unprepared for this blitzkrieg.
