Two Killed in Mass Brawl in South Russia
PYATIGORSK, July 21 (RIA Novosti)
Two people have been killed and at least one has been seriously injured in a mass brawl in the city of Kislovodsk in southern Russia, the Russian Investigative Committee said on its website.
Up to 15 people brawled in central Kislovodsk, in the Stavropol Territory bordering the volatile North Caucasus region, late on Saturday.
The two victims died from stab wounds, the report said. Police also discovered three spent gas pistol cartridges at the scene.
The injured person has been admitted to a hospital and placed under intensive care, investigators said.
Some media reports said four people had been hospitalized as a result of the fight.
Police have opened a criminal case into the brawl, arresting one of its participants.
